Tammy Mitchell-Woods is a drummer with a home-base of Tulsa Oklahoma and is an independent artist. She is the founder of Drummergirls United, the largest Facebook group for female drummers, which has gained her international recognition.
Tammy is an artist endorser for Heartbeat Percussion (cymbals), CooperGroove Precision Drum Sticks, Ahead Wicked Chops Practice Pads, Sledgepad, The Sweet Spots Drum Dampeners, Pray With Drums Gear and KickStrap.
In 2017 Women in International Music (WIMN) wrote a feature article about her, she was featured in the Rockin’ Drummers section of Metal Mag, and was also in a feature article with Oklahoma Artists Magazine. In 2018 she had a feature article in Drum! Magazine, was on Around the Kit Drum Talk Radio, was featured in Tom Tom Magazine, was in an hour-long live interview with Drum Talk TV and was in a feature interview on Chop Talk Drum Blog.
In the spring of 2019 she is leading a female drummers weekend in Tulsa in partnership with Drum World Tulsa. Tammy also teaches skype and in person drum lessons.
